Led by Zechariah Goh, Senior Lecturer of Composition at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, this three-day workshop offers valuable insights into composing for a symphony orchestra.
Requirements:
1. Your composition of maximum 10 minutes for symphony orchestra, using the instrumentation (maximum) as set out below:
- 3 Flutes (piccolo available)
- 3 Oboes (cor anglais available)
- 3 Clarinets (E-flat and bass clarinet available)
- 3 Bassoons (contrabassoon available)
- 4 French Horns
- 3 Trumpets
- 3 Trombones
- 1 Tuba
- Timpani
- Percussion (playable by a maximum of 2 players)
- Harp
- Celesta or Piano
- String size: Violin Is, Violin IIs, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses (approx. size 10,10,8,6,4)
