C.H.O.P.P.A. Experimental Electronic Music Festival 2019

The CHOPPA Experimental Music Festival 2019 returns this year at LASALLE College of the Arts!

Keeping with the momentum of last year’s stellar series of performances of experimental electro-acoustic improvisation, electronic and noise music, the 2019 CHOPPA Music Festival will bring into focus practitioners of sonic arts from around South East Asia.

This year’s festival is also a foray into a new and intimate direction with a focus on solo and duo performances of sweepings shards of experimental noise, broken beats, electronic treatments with scattered electro-acoustic elements! With this in mind, each artist will be given longer performance times to fully explore the outer edges of their aesthetic direction.

Since January 2007, C.H.O.P.P.A. has been a semi-regular series of improvised and electronic music in Singapore presenting concerts showcasing the experimental music of Singapore and regional scenes by giving a forum for sound artists and musicians to present their work. This festival is presented by School of Contemporary Music at LASALLE College of the Arts.
