Suara Singa is an annual lower equal-voices ensemble performance by the Vox Camerata Male Chorus. It provides a platform for conductors and enthusiastic tenor and bass singers that deep-dives into repertoire that is not often performed in Singapore and allows them to experiment with the vocal sonority of equal voices.

This inaugural concert is led by the esteemed Dr. Zechariah GOH Toh Chai. He has curated a survey of TTBB repertoire that ranges from the late medieval period to contemporary pieces. We will also be featuring three of his works ‘4 Iron-Black Steeds’, ‘Strike the Drums’ and ‘Dawn of the New Millennium’. ‘Dawn of the New Millennium’ will be receiving its Singapore premiere in this concert. The ensemble is made up of established music teachers and performers gathered by their common interest in developing the performance capabilities of the local choral music scene.
