Titled \u201cFor Our Dreams \u2013 Wang Chenwei\u2019s Music Showcase\u201d, this entire concert features Singapore local premieres of SCO\u2019s Composer-in-Residence <strong>WANG Chenwei<\/strong>, under the baton of Conductor Emeritus Maestro Tsung Yeh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date<\/strong>: 10 Jun 2023 (Sat), 7:30pm<br \/><strong>Venue<\/strong>: SCO Concert Hall<\/p>\n<p>The opening orchestral piece, <em>For Our Dreams<\/em>, inspires us to pursue our ambitions. In the virtuosic Diyin-Sheng concerto <em>Taoyuan Wonderland<\/em> \u2013 the first of its kind \u2013 the soloist Lim Kiong Pin will portray picturesque scenes of Taoyuan, Taiwan. Based on three Macao landmarks, <em>Postcards from Macao<\/em> presents the city\u2019s unique history and culture infused with Cantonese, Hokkien and European influences. Finally, Percussion Principal Benjamin Boo will lead the concerto <em>Bronze Age of Shang<\/em>, evoking the elaborate rites and glorious culture of the Shang Dynasty over three millennia ago. Together, let us relive the past, aspire towards the future and strive for our dreams!<\/p>\n<p>The lowest priced tickets would be $16+1 each for a group booking of Category 3 seats (minimum 20 tickets, no age restriction).
