Through this experience, I\u2019ve been able to meet many new peers, bringing their own style of music composition. It was a very eye opening experience for me, as I\u2019ve been composing mostly by myself, with my own tastes and inspirations. Being able to experience such different and unique styes of music will allow me to diversify my own compositions.<\/p>\n
The 2nd edition of CSS\u2019 Young Composers Forum took place from October 2023 to March 2024. Under the tutelage of senior CSS composers Joyce Koh, John Sharpley and Yuting Tan, 9 young composers were selected to undergo a 6-month creative period of meet-the-musician sessions, lectures, individual lessons and workshop sessions, in order to develop new pieces for local new music collective Weird Aftertaste.
