The Composers Society of Singapore (CSS) has received a call-for-works for a composition competition by the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) in Graz, Austria, at year 2020. Read below:<\/p>\n
On the occasion of the International Competition Franz Schubert and Modern Music<\/strong>, which will take place in February 2021 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, the university organizes composition competitions in order to expand the repertoire for Duo for Voice and Piano (Lied) and Trio for Piano, Violin and Violoncello.<\/p>\n We aim to encourage young composers to participate in these composition competitions, and would like to invite you to spread the word among young artists in your sphere of influence.<\/p>\n The competition invites composers from all nations and those who are stateless to take part.<\/p>\n For piano trio (piano + violin + cello)<\/strong><\/p>\n Age limit<\/strong>: born after February 27, 1981 (38 years) Jury<\/strong>: The jury, chaired by Chia Chou, consists of internationally renowned personalities: Mark Andre, Lucas Fels, Clemens Gadenst\u00e4tter, Clemens Nachtmann, N.N., N.N.<\/p>\n For Lieder (duo for voice and piano)<\/strong><\/p>\n Age limit<\/strong>: born after May 1, 1981 (38 years) Jury<\/strong>: The jury, chaired by Joseph Breinl, consists of internationally renowned personalities. Will be announced soon.<\/p>\n There is a choice of 12 poems to be set to music \u2013 of which either a poem in full length or fragments may be used. Six poems are by the Hungarian authoress Kinga T\u00f3th, a writer-in-residence in Graz from September 2018 to August 2019.
