Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Seminar Room 1<\/strong> Compo Corner is a series of presentations by Composers Society of Singapore where composers, performers, and musicologists come to share on an open forum. It\u2019s for anyone interested in finding more about our local music scene. We warmly welcome everyone, from creators to performers to educators, especially if you come from another discipline!<\/p>\n For our third edition, we\u2019re incredibly privileged to have composers Tan Chan Boon<\/strong> and Peter Ivan Edwards<\/strong> speak on their music.<\/p>\n Tan Chan Boon will be speaking about his regularly performed String Quartet No.2<\/em> and dive deep into an analysis of his composition. And Peter Ivan Edwards will present an overview of recent compositional activities, sharing chamber works as well as works with electronics. He will discuss his application of the cognitive linguistic concept of Force Dynamics<\/em>, his use of programming to generate musical behaviors, and his strategies for integration of instrumental sound with live signal processing.<\/p>\n So come join us, listen, ask questions and get to know more music-lovers!
