Robert Yeo & John Sharpley, performed by Akiko Otao, Jonathan Charles Tay, Siti Maznah & Adam Azali (Singapore)<\/strong><\/p>\n This vocal showcase will be performed by singers Akiko Otao, Jonathan Charles Tay, Siti Maznah and Adam Azali, accompanied by composer John Sharpley (US-born Singapore-based composer) on the piano and librettist Robert Yeo as narrator. The performance will showcase five songs from the newly revised opera Fences of the Heart<\/em> by Yeo and Sharpley. The story is set in the tumultuous 1960s and takes place in London, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. In the midst of upheaval, a Chinese boy from Singapore and a Malay girl from Kuala Lumpur struggle to make their life together.<\/p>\n
