We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a third edition of the Young Composers Forum<\/a> this year in 2025, with applications opening in July. Details for the 2025 YCF, including mentors and ensemble-in-residence, will be announced next week, so please stay tuned!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2016, the Composers Society of Singapore launched its first edition of the YCF, a mentorship programme for young composers who are considering a career in composition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the tutelage of senior CSS composers, aspiring young composers will be guided through a 6-month creative period consisting of meet-the-musicians sessions, masterclasses and workshops, while working towards writing a new piece for the YCF ensemble-in-residence. The programme culminates in a final concert, featuring the works written during the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n
