Esplanade Recital Studio, 27 November 2018, 8:00 PM

SETTS (Southeastern Ensemble for Today’s and Tomorrow’s Sounds) will be performing its next concert SETTS #8 on 27 November 2018, at Esplanade Recital Studio.

SETTS #8 celebrates female composers of Singapore and Austria. This performance was conceived because Singapore is chairing ASEAN 2018, and one of its focus is on promoting innovation and cultural diversity. At the same time, Austria will be taking over the presidency of the European Union, as well as celebrating 100 years of independence of the republic, as well as female voting rights. Both countries are chairing huge entities, and are working together for closer cooperation. Therefore, it seems fitting to celebrate this momentous occasion by presenting works of female composers from both Singapore and Austria.

Programme:

  2. Katharina Klement (AT) – Lokus Fokus
