以诗与乐,想起英培安 | Melodic Recital: In Poetic Memory of YENG Pway Ngon

文化奖得主英培安(1947-2021)是新加坡最重要的作家之一,离世后遗留给我们极为珍贵的文化资产,其中就包括许多掷地有声的长篇小说与诗歌。在杰出青年作曲家陈裕婷(新加坡作曲社学生会员)和陈建翰的钢琴与小提琴伴奏中,得奖学者诗人陈志锐将朗诵并回顾英培安各阶段的诗歌精品。

关于


新加坡重要学者作家陈志锐在日间乃南大国立教育学院(NIE)副教授,在夜里则积极创作文学作品、书法与绘画。他是新加坡诗歌节的发起人,国家文化奖与东南亚文学奖评审,曾荣获青年艺术家奖、新加坡青年奖及金笔奖等。


新加坡作曲家陈裕婷的曲子探究截然不同的声音或音色之互动,从中创造出独特的和声与音质。裕婷曾与新加坡交响乐团,皮博迪交响乐团,阿斯彭现代乐乐团,Dal Niente乐团,以及Soundinitiative乐团合作,在音乐会上呈现其作品。裕婷喜爱与各领域艺术家合作,目前以全额奖学金于芝加哥大学攻读音乐作曲博士学位。


新加坡作曲家陈建翰从各种兴趣中汲取灵感。现阶段的作曲风格乃利用好莱坞电影剪辑技术,在曲子中创造出新的音乐质感。其歌曲作品也混合了自创的短片。建翰也喜爱写歌,目前为两出音乐剧作曲。他目前在德国杜塞尔多夫攻读音乐作曲硕士学位。


讲华语运动鼓励新加坡华人学习及使用华语,并培养国人对华族文化、遗产和语言的鉴赏。

YENG Pway Ngon (1947–2021) was one of Singapore’s most prominent Chinese writers. The Cultural Medallion recipient left us with a rich legacy of Chinese literature, with a body of work that spanned novels and poetry. In this poetry recital with piano and violin accompaniment by prominent young composers TAN Yuting (CSS Student Member) and DING Jian Han, award-winning academic-poet TAN Chee Lay will read from YENG’s early works till his latest publication Stones, which was published in 2020.

One of the most highly-acclaimed writers of his generation, scholar-writer TAN Chee Lay is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Education (NIE) by day, while practising Chinese creative writing, calligraphy and painting by night. A founding member of Poetry Festival Singapore and a judge of the Cultural Medallion and SEA Write Award, he was conferred the Young Artist Award, Singapore Youth Award and Golden Point Award.


Singaporean composer TAN Yuting writes music that explores the interaction of different sounds to form unique harmonies and textures. Her past collaborations include performances with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Peabody Symphony Orchestra, Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, Ensemble Dal Niente and Ensemble Soundinitiative. Tan also enjoys working with artists from other fields.


DING Jian Han is a Singaporean composer who draws inspiration from his varied non-musical interests. Recently, he has adapted Hollywood action film editing techniques into his composition process, incorporating self-created short films in his musical compositions. Ding also enjoys songwriting and has composed and arranged music for two full-length musicals.
