When Nations Meet: An evening of Belgian music

Join Philharmonic Wind Orchestra on 24 March for an evening of Belgian music, presented in partnership with the Embassy of Belgium in Singapore and the Delegation of the European Union to Singapore.

Led by Maestro Robert Casteels, PWO will bring you a truly exciting programme of music from Belgium, ranging from vintage wind repertoire to popular songs to contemporary creations. This concert features the Singapore premiere of From Ancient Times by internationally acclaimed Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost, and culminates in the world premiere of Symphony nr 6 by Belgium-born Singaporean composer and conductor Robert Casteels. Also joining us on stage are solo soprano Tanya Sen, who will be singing five Belgian songs arranged specially for this occasion, and solo trombonist Sam Armstrong performing Colors for trombone and band by Bert Appermont.
