Traversing opens Ding Yi Music Company’s 2026/27 season with a bold statement of artistic direction. Led by Chief Artistic Mentor Tsung Yeh, the concert explores the theme of 《“樂”无界》—music without borders—bringing together diverse musical traditions through the lens of a contemporary Chinese chamber ensemble.
The programme features two newly commissioned works: Celtic Knots by Cultural Medallion recipient Eric Watson and Sing a Pura by Su Xiao, inspired by Singapore’s Merlion and its outward-looking spirit. Other highlights include Hungarian Rhapsody Op. 68, arranged by Jon Lin Chua and performed by cellist Bekhzod Oblayorov, Guzheng Concerto: Goddess of the Luo River with soloist Yvonne Tay and internationally acclaimed pianist Ning An playing Piano Concerto: Youth, a work imbued with youthful spirit and expressive vitality.
