Say Say Borak
Say Say Borak was a series of musical discussion-seminars which encouraged members to take up the role of presenters, in order to share and discuss new music in Singapore. The seminars covered a wide range of topics, from compositional analysis of the works of Singaporean composers, to controversial topics in today’s music scene.
The sessions were meant as a monthly gathering of artists of diverse disciplines, organized with the goal of building a community of artists seeking inspirations, who could come together to freely exchange ideas and practices. However, starting with the 2022 – 2023 series of Say Say Borak, the project expanded to include the wider Singaporean public, encouraging them to engage with musical scholarship through accessible online seminar-discussions hosted on our YouTube channel.
