“Singapore has many prominent arts festivals, but none dedicated specifically to the work of Singaporean or Singapore-based composers.”

When the Composers Society of Singapore (CSS) created the inaugural Singapore Composers Festival in 2024, we wanted to not just showcase the works, but also provide a space for dialogue on the practice of composition.

This year’s festival on 7 June, features two concerts: an exciting international collaboration between Singapore composers and Korean composers from composer collective, Space for Sound, and the premiere of works by young composers and their mentors from the CSS Young Composers Forum.
