Chan Hao Li (b. 2003) is a Singaporean composer whose work is shaped by a curiosity for engaging with music and musicians through mediums, spaces, improvisation, and collaboration. He is currently a second year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Composition at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and a Second Major in Music, Collaboration and Production. Hao Li's mentors include Peter Edwards, Chen Zhangyi, Tan Yuting and Benedict Ng.

His works, primarily contemporary classical music (or new music), have been performed locally and internationally. He has had the pleasure of working with many passionate musicians and ensembles, including Carolin Ralser, Cheryl Lim, Joost Flach, Daniel Yiau, Christoph Wichert, Dr. Jonathan Shin, Michellina Chan, weird aftertaste, Darragh Morgan and Mary Dullea of the Fidelio Trio, Mondrian Ensemble, Trio Abstrakt and b-l duo. Internationally, Hao Li has also participated in the Vienna Contemporary Composers Festival (VCCF), where his works were performed and recorded by PHACE and British violinist Irvine Arditti.

Beyond composition, Hao Li remains an active clarinetist, performing regularly in Singapore’s wind band scene, currently a member of Novo Winds and the Singapore Wind Symphony. He is also a student member of the Composers Society of Singapore, contributing to the creation and advocacy of new music both locally and abroad.
