On 27 Apr 2019 (Sa), the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) performed two works by Ho Chee Kong. Ho is an associate professor of composition at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YSTCM) in National University of Singapore (NUS).
The first was his The Way Of Play (2005), a percussion concerto for 3 outstanding percussionists: SCO’s Principal Xu Fan, Associate Principal Tan Loke Chuah and musician Benjamin Boo.
The second was his There And Back (2019) received its world premiere. This double concerto was perfoemd by violinist Siow Lee-Chin and cellist Qin Li-Wei.
