After their inaugural concert on Mar 2019, Project IDIOM is releasing profiles of Singaporean composers and composers in Singapore.

The seventh one CSS has chosen to highlight happens to be our current vice-president, Alicia Joyce de Silva! Her music is often multi-cultural: As Project IDIOM puts it, “A cross-pollination of musical ideas and approaches, both conscious and unconscious, governs her approach to composition; her music for Western instruments often bears characteristics of various other world musics, and vice-versa.”.
