Heartstrung – a conversation between 2 zithers and a cello. Featuring resident artist and director of SAtheCollective Natalie Alexandra, who has been exploring different sonic possibilities using extended techniques and electronics on the guzheng; Jon He (an ex-student of Brian O’Rilley at LASALLE) who has innovatively designed a glove to manipulate effects on his Gu Qin; and Vick, (also an ex-student of Brian O’Rilley) who explores sounds and electronics on his cello.
