Huqin player Moses Gay, Ruan musicians Kenny Chan and Cheng Tzu-ting, Double Bassist Wang Lu Yao and Harpist Fontane Liang each share a piece that holds special significance in their music journey. Narrator/Huqin player Teo Shu Rong sensitively weaves the tale of how Chinese music has shaped each musician’s artistic lives.
The concert also features three newly commissioned works by local composers – Germaine Goh, Lim Kiong Pin and an arrangement of familiar popular tunes from the 90s-00s by August Lum who will make a special guest appearance. Piano accompaniment by Liang Ming-Huei.
