RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR COMPOSERS, PERFORMERS and CONDUCTORS [April 2026 – January 2027]
The precept.concept.percept residency focuses on a collaborative creative process where performers and composers work closely together to prepare for a performance at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week (Bled, Slovenia, EU). Composers present, optimize, theorize, and develop new works, while performers form an ensemble to refine their practice and premiere these compositions.
The program unfolds in three stages:
- Four online workshops, where both performers and composers present their artistic practices and prepare for the creation and performance of new works.
- Three online workshops, focused score readings, analysis, reflection on the composed works, and preparation for the following one-week workshop at the festival.
- An intensive one-week session in Bled, Slovenia (EU), culminating in a live-recorded festival performance.
Participants benefit from high-quality documentation of their performances and recordings, opportunities to network with international artists, and a chance to establish long-term collaborations with fellow residency participants and the .abeceda [New Music Ensemble].
