The Composers Society of Singapore (CSS) has received a call for scores for a recording opportunity by PARMA (NH, USA):
Featured Recording Opportunity with the Sirius Quartet
PARMA Recordings is proud to present a Featured Recording Opportunity with the Sirius Quartet, “a fine, adaptable ensemble, and contemporary music specialists.” (Gramophone Magazine)
Projects selected and approved by the A&R panel will be performed by Sirius Quartet’s world-class musicians: FUNG Chern Hwei (violin), Gregor HUEBNER (violin), Ron LAWRENCE (viola) and Jeremy HARMAN (cello), with the “versatility and flair” lauded by the New York Times.
In a PARMA first, the resulting recordings will be presented as a visual album. While we’re no strangers to collaborating on compelling video content accompanying and drawing further attention to definitive studio recordings (see examples below), we have planned something new for this project: an entire, artfully-crafted, visual experience to be released as a complementary product to the resulting audio album.
Sirius Quartet combines exhilarating repertoire with unequalled fire. These conservatory-trained performer-composers shine with precision, soul, and raw energy, championing a forward-thinking, genre-defying approach.
The fruits of previous recording opportunities with the Sirius Quartet can be heard on the Navona releases “PLAYING ON THE EDGE” and “PLAYING ON THE EDGE 2”. More about past recording opportunities with other ensembles and soloists can be found here.
Submit your composition today to the PARMA Recordings Featured Recording Opportunity and a chance to work with this internationally esteemed string quartet. We are looking forward to hearing your music!
