Call for Scores: SSO Composer Workshop with Zechariah Goh

From the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s website:

Led by Zechariah Goh, Senior Lecturer of Composition at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, this three-day workshop offers valuable insights into composing for a symphony orchestra.

Requirements:

1. Your composition of maximum 10 minutes for symphony orchestra, using the instrumentation (maximum) as set out below:

  • 3 Flutes (piccolo available)
  • 3 Oboes (cor anglais available)
  • 3 Clarinets (E-flat and bass clarinet available)
  • 3 Bassoons (contrabassoon available)
  • 4 French Horns
  • 3 Trumpets
  • 3 Trombones
  • 1 Tuba
  • Timpani
  • Percussion (playable by a maximum of 2 players)
  • Harp
  • Celesta or Piano
  • String size: Violin Is, Violin IIs, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses (approx. size 10,10,8,6,4)
