The “Franz Schubert Conservatory” (“Franz Schubert Konservatorium” für Musik und darstellende Kunst; established at 1867.) of Vienna in cooperation with “International Festival of Contemporary Music” is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the Vienna International Composer Competition, an international competition for musicians and composers of all ages and nationalities.
The jury will choose several pieces for the “WORLD PREMIERE” which will be held in November and December 2025.

All entries must be received no later than September 12, 2025. The results of the “Composer project and Competition” will be published on the September 21, 2025.
CATEGORIES (COMPOSITION )
- No Age Limit
- The Competition is divided in 10 Sections (Categories):
- CAT. – Solo Instruments (without piano, organ, violin and flute)- ; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Piano Solo; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Organ Solo; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Flute solo; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Violin solo; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Voices (solo or ensemble); with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Young Composer International Prize – (solo pieces); applicants born on or after 1st January 2005.
- CAT. – Young Composer International Prize; with a maximum duration of 6 minutes
- CAT. – Film Music; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- CAT. – Electronic Music; with a maximum duration of 10 minutes
The entry fee is 50€ for first, 30€ for second and 10€ for third piece. The payment must be made to PayPal: competition.fsk@gmail.com
PRIZES:
1° CLASS. (95-100 points) – 1st Prize diploma + WORLD PREMIERE
*The Absolute Winner for each Category is the competitor who gained the highest score, but not less than 98/100. – For the 1st Absolute Prize:
Diploma, WORLD PREMIERE and 250 Euro.
2° CLASS. (85 – 94,99 points) – 2nd Prize diploma.
3° CLASS. (75 – 84,99 points) – 3rd Prize diploma.
